Our district is governed by a 7-member board of directors who are elected to serve by the people. Board members serve 4 year terms.
2026 SWCD Director Elections – Ballot Information
The Oregon Department of Agriculture has certified the candidates for the November 3, 2026, General Election for Wasco County SWCD Director positions. According to ODA’s official notice, the following positions will appear on the ballot:
- Zone 2 – Shawn Sorensen
- Zone 4 – No Candidate Filed
- At‑Large 2 – Kendal Johnson
Under ORS 568.530(2), Zone 2 and At‑Large 2 positions are not eligible for write‑in candidates. The Zone 4 position is eligible for write‑in candidates, as no candidate filed to appear on the ballot.
